Editor, The Smithfield Times:

Citizens, it is that time of the year in which we reflect upon the current elected members of our government.

Did they work diligently to accomplish the goals we elected them to work for? After their election, did they continue to listen and work for those goals or ignore the electorate and seek their own goals?

Did these elected officials acknowledge that the citizens of this county elected them to represent their ideas and beliefs in the appropriate government function?  Are you tired and dissatisfied with elected officials continuing to ignore you and attempting to place themselves above you?

If you think any of the above are positive conditions, you sir/madam need to vote your conscience in November. Strongly let the current elected official know his/her past performance by casting your vote. I fully intend to let them know my position.
