Betty Louise Allen Baker, 82, of Smithfield passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was the daughter of the late David Alonza Allen and Fairy Catherine Bryant Allen Grizzard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Earl Baker. Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughters, Judy Savage (Billy) and Kathy Hughes (Brickey); stepson, Raiford Baker (Rhonda); grandchildren, Nick (Valerie), Nicole (Rick), Kelly, Jaye, Mandy (Jon) and Matthew (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Victoria, Caroline, Addie, Autumn, Maxwell, Josh, Justin, Shelby, Logan, Lydia and Elliott; a sister, Joan Ligon; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who she loved and cherished. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Razel Grizzard; brother, David Allen; great grandson, Joshua Savage; and stepfather, John Walter Grizzard.

Mrs. Baker was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church and the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary. She loved to sew, ride her lawn mower, do yard work, watch Hallmark and NASCAR, and spend time with family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, 11 a.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield followed by burial in St. Luke’s Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
