Emerson “Dusty” Bruce Rhodes, 81, of Zuni, Va. passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He is the son of the late Ernest and Eleanor Rhodes. He is also predeceased by brothers, Roland and Donald Rhodes; sisters, Edith R. Allen, Hazel R. Reeves, and Irene R. Goodrich.

Dusty served in the U.S. Navy as a submariner for six years. He later retired from Avis after working as a Safety Manager. He enjoyed hunting, photography, genealogy, traveling, and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Jenny” Rhodes; children, Andrea R. Harris (Chris), Dana S. Rhodes (Heather), and Tracy A. Rhodes; grandchildren, Nicholas Weber, Alex Harris, Chelsea Pettitt, Katie Rhodes, Scott Rhodes, Danielle Rhodes, Alana Wilson, Amanda McGrath, and Faith Rhodes; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters; Carolyn R. Matthews, Cynthia R. Lakin, and Lucy R. Wyman.
