Matheny Fire & Emergency Co.’s national 2023 calendar, featuring emergency vehicle manufacturer E-ONE fire engines delivered in 2022, spotlights the Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department’s new 100-foot aerial ladder truck. The brand new HR-100 fire engine, designated “Ladder-10,” is on the second month’s calendar page. Unofficially dubbed “Miss February” by Carrollton volunteers, they all agree she is a “Perfect 10!” The new fire engine replaced a 1997 Cyclone 75-foot aerial ladder truck and will better enable Carrollton VFD to serve the residents of its first-response district in northeastern Isle of Wight County and nearby mutual aid areas in Smithfield and Suffolk.
