Vernon Roy Richards, 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. He was born on August 17, 1953 in Suffolk, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Littleton Richards.

“Roy” was a retired state police officer for the Virginia State Police Department.

He is survived by his mother, Annie Mary Vineyard; his stepfather, Homer Vineyard; sister, Phyllis Irene Kimball and her husband Dean; nephews, Terry Linwood Kimball and his wife Kendall, and David Kevin Kimball and his wife Corrie; and great nieces and nephews, Crystal, Cody, Eric, Kristen, Alysa, and Emma.

Per Roy’s wishes there will be no formal service.
