Carrsville Elementary is dismissing students early due to a power outage.

Dismissal began at 1145 a.m. According to Isle of Wight County Schools spokeswoman Lynn Briggs, the outage was caused by a vehicle hitting a pole and knocking out power to the area.

Dominion Energy is assessing the situation and is estimating a four-hour window until restoration, Briggs said.
