Starting July 9, Virginia Department of Transportation contractors will begin milling and repaving portions of Brewers Neck and Benns Church boulevards, as well as South Church Street in Smithfield.
The work will begin at the intersection of Brewers Neck and Carrollton boulevards (Routes 258 and 17) and continue down Brewers Neck to its intersection with Benns Church Boulevard (Routes 258 and 10). The work will finish on South Church Street.
Alternating single-lane closures will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The paving is anticipated to be completed this summer.
At times, traffic at intersections within the project limits may be under the direction of on-site flaggers.
Access to properties and businesses will be maintained at all times.
