Clark is described as 4 feet tall, weighing approximately 80 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, pajama-style pants and blue and pink shoes.

She is not known to suffer from any medical or psychological issues, according to the news release.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking citizens to refrain from conducting their own searches. Numerous agencies, including the Virginia State Police and Norfolk Police Drone Unit have joined the search.

At this time, the case does not meet the criteria for the issuance of an Amber Alert,” said Capt. Tommy Potter, spokesman for the sheriff’s office. “However, we are in close consultation with the Virginia State Police.”

The sheriff’s office resumed its efforts at first light on Tuesday after suspending the search overnight.

“Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office are following up on leads generated today during the nighttime hours,” Potter said.

This is a developing story.
