SHS falls to Warhill in homecoming game

Smithfield High School’s hopes for a homecoming win were dashed on Oct. 20 with the Packers falling 26-63 to the Warhill High School Lions.
The loss brings the team to sixth place in the Bay Rivers District, with a 3-5 record for the season.
Spirits were high ahead of the game as a crowd lined Main Street to watch the annual homecoming parade.
