The Civic Engagement and Outreach Program for the Womans Club of Smithfield delivered cookies to the Isle of Wight Rescue Squad, the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department and the Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department Saturday, Oct. 28 to celebrate First Responders Day. Club members do little acts of kindness such as this throughout the year in different ways to show community support and to encourage our front line.
