The Camp Community College Center at Smithfield is in the process of starting a new Renaissance Program geared toward those in the community who are age 55 and older.

The program will feature sessions for those interested in learning more about history, science, literature, the arts,and technology, according to a news release. 

A first meeting is set for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11 at the Camp Center at Smithfield, 253 James St. During the first meeting, the college will share ideas for renaissance sessions and plan for the months ahead. Organizers encourage those interested to bring their ideas and be a part of this new endeavor.
