Sarah Ann Bissette Julien, a remarkable lady with an indelible spirit, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2023. Born in Spring Hope, North Carolina, Sarah’s life journey was one that encompassed profound love, resilience, and a dedication to family. Her departure from this world leaves behind countless cherished memories and an unfillable void.

Sarah was a woman of unwavering strength and devotion. Throughout her life, she exemplified grace and compassion in all that she pursued. Sarah’s unyielding commitment to her loved ones was unparalleled, building bonds that will endure through generations. In addition to cherishing family, Sarah greatly treasured the friendships she made throughout her years.

Married to the love of her life, Allyn Julien, Sarah found solace and companionship in their marriage of 62 years. Together, they had two wonderful sons Allyn Brent and David Lloyd (Dawn). Sarah was the loving grandmother of three grandsons Kenneth, Kyle (Summer) and Chandler (Emily) and one granddaughter Shelby. Sarah was excited to have recently become the great-grandmother of Kyle’s son Julien. She is preceded in death by her son Allyn Brent and her parents.

Sarah will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and zest for life. Sarah’s passion was golf, a pastime that she enjoyed sharing with David and her sister Claris and niece Carol. During the 21 years that Sarah and Allyn happily resided in Smithfield, Sarah made many friends and had a special fondness for the golfing ladies of Cedar Point Golf Club.

As to Sarah’s request there will be no service and she will be laid to rest with her loved ones in Raleigh, North Carolina, at a later date. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She will be missed by all who knew her.
