Luther and Virginia Walker celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Nov. 28. The event was marked by a weekend celebration in Williamsburg, including a luncheon at Opus 9 Steakhouse in Williamsburg. Those attending the event were their daughters Valerie Cofer Butler, Pamela Walker Casey and husband Timothy, Thelma Diane Bowser and husband Bobby and Lutherine Jefferson husband Rudolph; their nine grandchildren and their families; and six of their eight great-grandchildren.
