Isle of Wight Parks and Recreation and Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia are opening of a new senior center Feb. 6. 

The “Better Together Café” will be located at the Windsor Town Center, 23361 Courthouse Hwy., Windsor. The free program will be held 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

SSSEVA seeks to offer enhanced programming and activities that provide an atmosphere for socialization and opportunities to maintain health, independence, and social activities, according to a news release.  

Program activities will include lunch, field trips, games, nutrition education and counseling, holiday celebrations and a lot of peer socialization and interaction, the release stated. Transportation to the program may be available.
