A motor vehicle crash is blocking both westbound lanes of Benns Church Boulevard, also known as Route 10.

Isle of Wight County sent out text message and email alerts at 7:46 a.m. stating emergency crews were working to clear the area.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation’s 511 website, the crash occurred in the vicinity of Benns Church Boulevard’s intersection with Riddick Road. A detour is in place at Riddick Road.
