The Schoolhouse Museum and the Isle of Wight Museum sponsored “Lunch and Learn with the Generals” Thursday, Feb. 22 at Main Street Baptist Church in the Williams Mission Center. JROTC cadets from Smithfield and Surry County high schools were treated to a once in a lifetime learning experience.  Maj. Gen. (Retired) Michael Harrison, Maj. Gen. (Retired) Wallace Arnold, Maj. Gen. (Retired) Frank Batts and Brig. Gen. (Retired) Bettye Simmons shared their military expertise and experiences with the cadets. The cadets had the opportunity to ask questions and have individualized conversations while eating lunch with the generals. Pictured seated left are Harrison, Arnold, Batts and Simmons.
