The Virginia High School League recently named Surry County High School senior K’Niyah White to its all-state second Class 1 team for girls basketball. Eight players make up the first and second teams regardless of position. Only those players selected to all-region first teams are eligible for selection to either all-state team. Each all-state selection committee is composed of eight basketball coaches, two from each region.
