Rain canceled outdoor components of Smithfield and Isle of Wight County Tourism’s third annual Arts Festival, which had been planned for May 18, though a few determined participants and visitors braved the raindrops to attend the weekend’s scheduled indoor events, which included talks with authors at Christ Episcopal Church and the 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse’s annual “Court Day” reenactment.
