Edward Wayne Hontz, 74, of Newport News, passed away Feb. 7, 2022. Edward was raised in Smithfield and later moved to Newport News. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Jean and William McNeil, as well as his nieces, Wendy and Stephanie. He is predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Henry Davis. Edward will be dearly missed by his family. Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
