Sarah Alma Britt

Sarah Alma Britt, 85, of Ivor passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and a member of the Senior Citizen Groups at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Ivor Baptist Church and Wakefield Baptist Church. Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her parents, Willis B. and Alma Sarah Britt; her husband of 50 years, Narvie Frank Britt Sr., and a brother, Everett Britt.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Narvie Frank Britt Jr. and wife, Fredia McClung Britt; three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held July 3 at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Burial followed in Ivor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Britt’s memory to either Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad P.O.
